FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – Today, Conservative Candidates Pierre Paul-Hus and Michael Barrett released the following statement about documents that show Justin Trudeau's candidate for Quebec, Yves Duclos, approved over $350,000 for his colleague's office renovation.

"Justin Trudeau and his Liberals have a long history of wasting and mismanaging taxpayers’ money. Spending $350,000 on office renovations is completely inappropriate and we are calling on Duclos to force his colleague to repay the money to taxpayers.

"It's unclear from these documents when the expense was approved and when the office renovations were completed. Did Trudeau's candidate approve this expense during the pandemic, when hundreds of thousands of Canadian taxpayers were losing their jobs and struggling to pay their bills?

"Canadians can't afford more of Justin Trudeau's waste and corruption. Canada's Recovery Plan is Erin O'Toole's plan to secure the future by restoring accountability to Ottawa."

The document can be reviewed here.
