Ottawa, ON — Conservative Candidate Pierre Poilievre released today the following statement about a video that shows Justin Trudeau's Liberal candidate admitting there is a plan to tax the sale of your home:

"Justin Trudeau has claimed that despite a promise in his own platform, Liberals have no plan to tax the sale of your home. However, now we know the truth - Justin Trudeau will tax the sale of your home when you decide to sell.

"In fact, here is what one of Trudeau's candidates admitted:

'But of course, anyone selling their primary residence, if you do make money on that, unfortunately you will have to pay tax on that. I wouldn't agree to that either but it's what we have to do.' - Jason Hickey, Liberal candidate, New Brunswick Southwest

"On the contrary, that's not what Canadians 'have to do' and if you don't want Justin Trudeau to tax the sale of your home, there is only one choice in this election: Erin O'Toole and Canada's Conservatives.

"Canadians can't afford any more of Justin Trudeau's tax hikes. Canada's Recovery Plan is Erin O'Toole's plan to secure the future by creating a million new jobs and balancing the budget over the next decade.

"It's time for change."
